Where Touch Ends
Developed during a residency at Espai de Marge, Spain, Where Touch Ends is an open exploration of how the body can intuitively let go of what once defined it. Flowing from earlier research into the effects of touch on emotion and sensation, the project investigates the fleeting moment of release — a touch, a memory, a version of oneself.
Using material and physical experimentation, textiles, and movement, the work maps how bodies surrender, respond, and transform without knowing what comes next. Everyday materials are reshaped into soft, responsive forms; the body interacts, presses, drapes, and folds, creating spaces where sensation and memory intertwine. Each action unfolds into new possibilities, tracing the delicate balance between control and letting go.
The residency generated multiple beginnings and pathways, a living archive of bodies, textures, and gestures. Where Touch Ends opens a space to feel, to move, and to inhabit the invisible: the thresholds of sensation, emotion, and presence that dwell between what has been and what is yet to come.
